Hyde Park Painting & Carpentry understands this. We don't simply come into your home, business or church and start painting. There is a lot of prep work to be done on interior and exteriod painting.

At Hyde Park Painting and Carpentry, we dig out the cracks in walls and ceilings. Apply plaster-weld to help adhesion. Then we tape, mud and skim coat and sand. All trim cracks are caulked with top-qulaity acrylic latex 25-35 year caulking. Baseboards, door frames and window frames are caulked prior to any painting. Walls and cielings are cleaned. All trim is sanded and cleaned.

Then we start paiting.

Hyde Park Painting & Carpentry uses only the highest quality exterior paint coatings. When exterior painting needs arise, one should not compomise the quliaty of paint and caulk. We use 100% acrylic latex resins offering superior hide and excellent adhesion. high qulaity paints also mildew better.

These high qulaity coatings can be used on wood, masinrym, stucco, metal, hardboard and are especially suited to renew the finish on aged alluminum siding. Our exterior painting will provide a rich, long lasting appearance with long-term color retention and mildew resistance.

Hyde Park Painting & Carpentry preparation work is second to none.

Hyde Park Painting & Carpentry emphasizes our preparation work. We chemically clean the exterior to kill mold/mildew. then we pressure clean the surfaces. We don't stop there. Many contractors use the pressure cleaning to be their preparation work. we go further! We scrape extensivly before any exterior painting. Then we pallm sand using power sanders. Next, we caluk using power sanders. Next, we caulk using 25-35 year acrylic, elastic caulking.  Primer is applied then top quality acrylic, finishing coating is applied.

The end result will be a rich, long lasting appearance that will last 5-10 years. Your home will be the best exterior painted home on the street!
